Here are a few different ways this dreaded location of the paci question has been asked in our house.
"Have you seen the paci?" Calmly
"Paci?" Cullen requesting it
"PACI!!!" Cullen demanding it
"Where's the Paci?!!? I know he just had it in his mouth!" Asked when it goes missing a minute after it was in his mouth
"UGGHHH WHERE IS THE PACI!!????" Any time cullen is screaming and we have no idea where the only paci Cullen will take is missing!
The pacifier was and still is, at times, a great thing for Cullen. It is an instant calming agent in our household. Sweet, precious boy loves his pacifier. Unfortunately all but 2 have gone missing. One he will take and the other he will not. Stubborn boy refuses the paci with the soccer ball print on it.
I'm attempting to have him keep it in his bed so that we will know where it is for nap and bed time. It will save us the stress from not knowing where it is at any given point in time throughout the day. Because he is growing up into such a big boy, Matt and I feel that it may be time to have him give it up completely, but I'm not convinced yet. It is not fun hearing a little boy scream and scream and scream when told he can't have it.

You will be missed! You made it through a lot. You've been lost, thrown, chewed, dropped in the toilet, left in stores, washed in the dishwasher, stolen by dogs, and taken by Eli and others to pester Cullen. You were also loved very much, laughed with, played with, and even shared with friends at times. Paci, you also made my sad little boy happy, soothed him in sickness, calmed him when scared, eased the pain of a booboo, and silenced a tantrum in seconds. You were washed an unknowable amount of times because of how covered in boogers, ice cream, tears, dirt, mac and cheese, toilet water, germs from the mall's floor, and food in general, and now the time has come to throw you away.
So long pacifier, and hello handsome big boy smile!
